Item description

Invitation to Participate in a Research Study Looking at Cultural Differences in Trauma Memories

Would you like to participate in research looking at the influence of culture on the remembering of significant life events?

The study is looking at the similarities and differences between British and Iranian trauma survivors’ memories of important life events such as memories of trauma, everyday events and events that are defining. Therefore, the study is looking for British (people who were born in the UK and identify their ethnicity as British) trauma survivors (i.e., people who have experienced
events such as car accidents, natural disasters, accidents, assault, sexual assault) to participate. Researchers in Iran are inviting Iranian trauma survivors to also participate in the study.

Volunteering will take approximately 60-90 minutes and requires filling in some questionnaires and completing several memory writing tasks. Participants will be reimbursed for their time (£10).
